Copper Roofing

Copper is a perfect material choice for roofing in both historic and modern homes. If properly installed, a copper roof can last centuries (the Old Church in Philadelphia still has its copper roof from 1742) and it adds timeless elegance to any property. Though it’s more expensive, it’s a wonderful investment in your home and is typically considered a permanent roof.

I have returned to Gutterman Services because of the work they have done each time I have used their services. They are responsive and customer oriented. I appreciate that it is a family business. I reached out to them to consult on my current home's needs, hoping that their services extended beyond the type of work previously done. FAQ

Why is copper harder to install?

Depending on the design you choose, we may have to custom-make the copper pieces for your roof (which we are happy to do in our metal shop). Additionally, copper naturally expands and contracts a little bit with fluctuations in temperature, and this needs to be taken into account when it's being installed.

Does it really last that much longer than other roof materials?

Yes, assuming it's installed properly! In addition to the Old Philadelphia Church's roof from 1742, there are structures all over Europe with copper roofs that are centuries - old. At Gutterman Services, we have had 30+ years of experience and we guarantee we will install your copper roof to perfection.

What if my copper roof gets damaged - can you repair it?

Yes, we can! We are experts in both roof replacement and repair, so we are happy to fix any roofing issues that may com up.
